EPIC Adds New Managed Account Solution to Platform
WATKINSVILLE, GA, February 13, 2018 -- Stadion Money Management, known for its participant level, customized retirement solutions, announced today that EPIC Advisors has added StoryLine, Stadion's 401k managed account solution, to its retirement platform. EPIC, a nationally-recognized retirement plan service provider and record-keeper, has a longstanding relationship with Stadion which led to the StoryLine addition.
StoryLine, built with SPDR® ETFs, is an innovative retirement planning solution built specifically for 401k participants in advisor-sold plans. StoryLine offers plan level customization with the option of participant level customization; which Stadion sees as a distinct improvement over "one size fits all" target date strategies. StoryLine, which made its market debut in 2016, has over $600 million in AUM as of 12/31/17 through approximately 1,100 plans.
"We're delighted our relationship with EPIC has resulted in the addition of StoryLine to their expansive retirement platform," said Jud Doherty, President & CEO of Stadion Money Management. "EPIC's long history in the retirement arena, coupled with their high level of customer satisfaction, has made them an ideal partner. We look forward to supporting their efforts as they make StoryLine available on their platform."
StoryLine's innovative approach recognizes every plan sponsor and employee as unique. Through StoryLine's participant-centric web interface, employees will be encouraged to define their individual investment paths based on personal risk profiles, expectations, and goals. StoryLine will also allow -- at the employee's discretion -- the inclusion of outside assets to facilitate more comprehensive retirement planning. The end goal of this is to have each participant on a retirement path personalized to their own circumstances and needs.
"StoryLine has made significant inroads in the delivery of participant-friendly, customized retirement planning, a much-needed solution given the potential retirement savings gap facing many Americans," said Manny Marques, President of EPIC. "The Stadion team has been terrific to work with, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with them as we begin offering StoryLine to our clients."
StoryLine helps financial advisors deepen their relationships with sponsors and participants by engaging them at the plan level with tailored solutions. In turn, sponsors are able to offer their employees access to individual personalized planning that goes beyond typical age- and risk-based investment strategies.
