The Hartford Adds 8 American Funds to its 401k Program
SIMSBURY, CT, April 23, 2003 -- The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. has enhanced the investment choices available through its Director Advantage 401k program by adding eight new American Funds investment options.
The Hartford is a leading provider of 401k plans in the small-case market through its subsidiary, Hartford Life Insurance Co.
The Hartford has selected the new investment choices in response to high demand from brokers and plan participants for American Funds, a premier money manager, adding three growth and five growth and income funds to the Director Advantage 401k investment option lineup. The following investment options are now available through the Director Advantage program: EuroPacific Growth, New Perspective, The Growth Fund of America, Washington Mutual Investors, The Investment Company of America, American Mutual, American Balanced, and The Income Fund of America.
"Enhancements to our products and services come from hearing the needs of plan sponsors who choose our programs, the financial professionals who sell them, and the plan participants who utilize them to help achieve their retirement objectives," said Jim Davey, vice president and managing director of The Hartford's corporate retirement plans. "Implementing real solutions for our customers is one of the reasons The Hartford is recognized by brokers and plan sponsors as leading the way in making it easy to establish and manage a retirement program."
