Are Retirement Benefits Under Attack?

Financial Executives International (FEI) has hired McHenry Consulting Group to do research on their behalf to investigate the use of non-qualified deferred compensation programs.

Benefits programs for business executives and selected, middle-income employees are under attack due to recent negative publicity and Congress may take action to restrict or even eliminate these benefits. During the last session of Congress, Congressman Bill Thomas (R-CA), Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, proposed a measure to impose immediate taxation on certain nonqualified deferred compensation programs. McHenry Consulting Group and Financial Executives International (FEI) are researching the importance of these programs and is seeking participants in a short survey.
