The McHenry Group Expands Management Team

EMERYVILLE, CA, July 20, 2006 -- The McHenry Group, LLC announced today that in order to support a significant flow of new advisor and institutional relationships, Terry Zirkle and Mark Metz have joined The McHenry Group as investors and as members of the McHenry management team. They will serve as Managing Directors of Relationship Management (Zirkle) and Business Development (Metz) of McHenry’s service subsidiary, PlanTools, LLC. A Chicago office has been established that will be staffed to support both functions.

Both men have over 25 years of experience in banking, insurance, wealth management and retirement services. Most recently, they managed ABN AMRO Retirement Services before, during and after the sale of that firm to The Principal Financial Group. They left Principal earlier this year following the migration of business operations from Chicago to Des Moines, IA.

The PlanTools™ Risk Management System helps retirement plan advisors and consultants to provide fiduciary services to retirement plans and other investors which are subject to regulatory requirements for the assessment and documentation of client needs, constraints and objectives. The outsourced analytic and reporting services provided by PlanTools™ also deliver on-going standards-based performance reporting to ensure appropriate monitoring of client portfolios tied to investment policies. The PlanTools™ platform provides fiduciary reporting for over 3,000 retirement plans supported by the system’s licensed users.

McHenry founder and CEO Ward Harris voiced unconditional enthusiasm and support for the new management team members. "Mark and Terry were PlanTools™ clients while at ABN AMRO. We produced quarterly compliance reports for their advisors and the plans they served, and we got to know them very well. When they became available, we knew we had to find a way to work with them."

Later this year, McHenry and PlanTools™ will join its solution partners to sponsor the Center for Due Diligence (CFDD) Advisor Conference in Chicago at the Fairmont Hotel on October 2-5. The two and one-half day interactive program was designed by a network of retirement specialists and includes forty-four breakout sessions, additional keynote speakers and insightful wraparound activities.

Metz and Zirkle will be featured speakers along with other McHenry and PlanTools™ staff during that event. PlanTools™ solution and distribution partners will host a kick-off bash on the evening of October 1 at the Fairmont. These include Alliance Benefit Group, Markov Processes International (MPI), Klein Decisions, The Retirement Analyst, IPS Advisor Pro and Security Benefit Group.
