Transamerica Names 401k Plan Veteran as Regional VP of Sales
LOS ANGELES, CA, November 17, 2006 -- Transamerica Retirement Services ("Transamerica") today announced the selection of Christopher H. Barlow as regional vice president of sales for the southern Ohio region, serving the Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton metro areas. Barlow has assisted tens of thousands of financial advisers around the nation with the building of their 401k business. Now Barlow will be working with financial advisers in the southern Ohio territory to maximize their 401k opportunity. Barlow joins Transamerica from ADP Retirement Services, where he served as Director – Alliance Sales. Before joining ADP, Barlow founded and served as managing director of KnowHow 401k, a consulting firm that supports financial advisers in building their 401k business.
Prior to KnowHow, Barlow had nearly 18 years of experience as a financial adviser, sales trainer and 401k wholesaler for several premier financial services companies, including Prudential Financial, John Hancock, and Merrill Lynch and Company. Barlow also co-authored two 401k business building books for financial advisers: – "401k Sales Champion" and "How to Build A Successful 401k and Retirement Plan Advisory Business" – and is the developer of the "401k Sales Champion Workshop."

He is a past member of the ASPPA 401k Sales Summit Steering and Agenda Committees and judge for the PLANSPONSOR magazine Retirement Plan Advisor of the Year award. Barlow is a graduate of The University of Dayton where he received his Bachelor of Science in Finance.
