AIG Advisor Group Approves PPC Designation Across Network

PITTSBURGH, PA, August 7, 2008 -- The AIG Advisor Group has approved the Professional Plan Consultant™ (PPC™) designation for use across the network of AIG Advisor Group firms, including AIG Royal Alliance, FSC Securities, Advantage Capital Corporation, AIG American General Securities, and AIG Financial Advisors. Advisors who hold the PPC credential, along with those who are interested in taking the 401k Service Training Program™ and earning their PPC designation, can now publish this credential on their business cards and official correspondence.

"Something many advisors look at when comparing credential programs is the ability to make it known to the public that they have received specialized training applicable to the designation," explained Don Settina, President and CEO of Financial Service Standards, LLC, the sponsoring organization of the PPC designation.

Financial Service Standards has also partnered with AIG Advisor Group to offer all network representatives a special group rate on the classroom-based 401k Service Training Program (the educational prerequisite which culminates in the PPC designation) and a significant discount on the subscription rate for the 401k Service Solution™ Tools.

The 401k Service Training Program provides accredited training, professional certification, and business-building tools for retirement sales and service professionals, including consultants, investment advisors, benefits administrators, and wholesalers. It features a turnkey service model and exclusive access to more than 200 licensed tools and templates to educate, advise, and guide plan sponsor clients through six key plan management responsibilities as defined by ERISA.

"The program teaches professionals how to eliminate shortfalls in their existing service model, implement a process to simplify and streamline the management of their business, and use that process to increase retirement assets," said Mr. Settina. "Our program is very practical -- not only do we provide the necessary education, but we also provide a proven process for retirement professionals to use in helping their 401k clients achieve their goals."
