Ftwilliam.com Receives Preliminary Certification of EFAST 2 Transmission Software
MILWAUKEE, WI, August 20, 2009 - fwilliam.com, a leading plan document, government forms, and administrative/compliance software provider, announced today that the DOL has preliminarily certified the company's EFAST 2 transmission software.
The DOL requires all Form 5500 software vendors to certify their transmission software as a first step in obtaining certification of preparation software. The company anticipates that it will also receive preliminary certification of preparation software in the next 10-15 days. To become fully certified, Ftwilliam.com must sign an affidavit (regarding virus checking software). This affidavit will not be available until January 1, 2010.
Joe Bremer, the company's Director of Technical Services stated, "We are confident that we will not only be among the first to be certified, but also the first to release our Form 5500 EFAST 2 Software when the new DOL EFAST 2 system becomes fully operational in early 2010."
