PlanTools LLC Releases Expense Analysis and Benchmarking Tool
CHARLOTTE, NC, September 14, 2009 -- PlanTools, LLC announced the release of the PlanTools Expense Analysis and Benchmarking Tool that will offer over ten distinctly different reports. These reports can be produced at the discretion of a licensed PlanTools. user. The PlanTools reports, available October 1, will be populated with current data that is updated daily as new plans are added to the system and provide a thorough comparison between plans of similar size by total plan assets and number of participants.
Users have the ability to compare existing and proposed service providers and investments. These comprehensive reports provide the necessary documentation to support a prudent methodology to evaluate the reasonableness of fees charged for services rendered or anticipated. The resulting "applied intelligence" enables on-demand resources to help advisors and plan sponsors to monitor existing and/or potential service providers.
Flexible and efficient expense analysis is possible for both a total and component cost basis. Component costs include Custody/Trust, Recordkeeping/Administration, Investment Management, Communication/Education, and Advisory services. System flexibility provides the perfect environment to ascertain if fees charged for services rendered under each service category are reasonable according to ERISA guidelines.
