Transamerica Taps Top Industry Professional to Head TPA Distribution
LOS ANGELES, CA, November 18, 2009 -- Transamerica Retirement Services, a marketing unit of Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Company, today announced the hiring of Deborah Rubin as vice president, head of Third Party Administrator Channel Distribution. In this newly-created position, Rubin will lead all sales efforts in the TPA channel. Her hiring is effective immediately.
"I have known Deb for more than 10 years, and her stellar experience and success in the TPA channel make her the obvious choice to lead these efforts for Transamerica," said Louis Bachetti, head of sales and distribution for Transamerica Retirement Services. "This new position was created for Deb and will be a crucial driver in our growth strategy."

Ms. Rubin has more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing of 401k and related products. She joins Transamerica from AUL OneAmerica where she served as regional vice president of sales. Ms. Rubin previously served nine years in various roles at ING, most recently as divisional vice president and head of TPA services and channel management.
Ms. Rubin received her Bachelor of Arts in economics from Columbia University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors in economics. Ms. Rubin has received her series 7, 24 and 27, as well as life and health insurance certifications. She is a Certified Financial Planner and Accredited Investment Fiduciary.
