Great-West Retirement Takes Steps to Grow TPA Business

    
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO, November 29, 2010 -- Great-West Retirement Services has appointed Julie Costello, third-party administration (TPA) relationship manager for the west region, it was announced today by Bill Harmon, vice president of 401k sales. In this newly created position, Costello is responsible for maintaining existing TPA relationships as well as growing Great-West Retirement Services' TPA-supported 401k business. She reports to Tom Connolly, vice president, business development.

"Julie brings a broad skill set to this position, including both sales and TPA relationship management experience," said Harmon. "She also gained hands-on expertise working for a major TPA, so she understands the TPA business from a variety of perspectives."

Prior to joining Great-West Retirement Services, Costello served as an investment associate for six years at Sheakley, a payroll and human resource outsourcing firm. She also gained expertise as a TPA regional manager for ING North America and worked for nine years at Paychex as a sales consultant.

Costello holds a FINRA Series 6 securities registration.

Great-West Retirement Services has almost tripled its percent of sales with TPAs from 22 percent in 2007 to 65 percent through August 2010. With the addition of experienced sales and service individuals like Julie, the organization expects that trend to continue, said Harmon.
