Transamerica Retirement Appoints Northeast Regional Vice President
LOS ANGELES, CA, July 19, 2010 -- Transamerica Retirement Services today announced the promotion of Scott Young to regional vice president in its Northeast region. In this role, Mr. Young will be responsible for sales activities and distribution channels in the New York City metropolitan area, Long Island, and New Jersey's Monmouth, Middlesex and Hudson counties. He will be based in Manhattan and report to Christopher Barrett, Transamerica's divisional vice president for the Northeast region.

Mr. Young assumes the role of regional vice president after serving as a Transamerica sales associate in Manhattan since 2006. In his role, he was responsible for developing relationships with financial advisors, and helping them to build their retirement business.
Mr. Young holds FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses as well as a New York State Insurance license. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Rhode Island, where he graduated magna cum laude. Mr.Young is also an Accredited Retirement Plan Consultant.
