MJM401k Presents Workshop on 401k Fees: What Fiduciaries Must Know
PHOENIX, AZ, May 17, 2011 -- Mike Malone and Bud Green, Principals of MJM401k, are pleased to announce the upcoming summer segment of MJM401k's Quarterly Workshop Series: 401k Fees - What Fiduciaries Must Know. This workshop is designed to equip employers with the knowledge they need to effectively address one of their more complex fiduciary responsibilities - making certain that the fees paid by the plans they manage are both reasonable and marketplace competitive.
Mike Malone, Managing Director of MJM401k and recent recipient of the 2011 Morningstar/ASPPA 401k Advisor Leadership Award, hosts these quarterly workshops to give employers access to the on-going knowledge and tools necessary to manage their fiduciary responsibilities. "Our industry is ever-changing and it is important that Plan Sponsors be given essential and timely information. Our decision to address the topic of fees this quarter is based in part on the Department of Labor's series of regulations which require detailed fee disclosures to both plan sponsors and participants, as well as the changing pricing dynamics in the plan provider marketplace. Employers need to make certain that they have a clear and concise understanding of the fees paid by their plan. This workshop is designed to help them get the information they need to meet that responsibility, as well as understand if their plan is appropriately priced."
The workshop will be held on June 2, 2011 at the Ritz Carlton, Phoenix. Continental breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m. and the program will run from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
