EPIC Advisors Announce Staff Enhancements
ROCHESTER, NY, January 17, 2012 -- EPIC Advisors, Inc. announced the addition of a new member to its Client Services team. Darouny Vongphachanh has been hired as a client service specialist. In her new role Vongphachanh will oversee all aspects of the day -to-day recordkeeping and administrative services provided to EPIC's retirement plan clients, and will monitor and ensure all services are delivered within documented service standards.
Vongphachanh brings over four years experience to the position, previously serving as a team leader for Paychex. She currently resides in Henrietta.
EPIC also announced today that Jenny Lindsay has fulfilled all requirements of and been awarded the Qualified 401k Administrator (QKA) certification from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). Lindsay is compliance specialist in the technical plan services group supporting EPIC's clients with the preparation and review of compliance testing packages and Form 5500 filings. Lindsay joined EPIC in 2009 and is a resident of Webster, New York. Over 36% of EPIC's staff holds one or more ASPPA credentials.
The QKA credential is conferred by ASPPA to retirement plan professionals who work primarily with 401k plans. Applicants for the QKA credentials come from a variety of professional disciplines. They typically assist employers and consultants with the recordkeeping, non-discrimination testing and administrative aspects of 401k and related plans. QKA candidates must pass the QKA series of examinations from ASPPA, and must also have at least two years of experience in pension-related matters.
EPIC also added of two new members to its Technical Plan Services team. Kayla Plaisted and Debra Frailey have been hired as compliance specialists, supporting EPIC's retirement plan clients with the preparation and review of compliance testing packages and Form 5500 filings, and plan document services.
Plaisted brings five years experience to the position, previously working as an auditor for The Bonadio Group. She currently resides in Fairport. Frailey comes to EPIC from Sinopoli & Sinopoli, CPA's, PC, with 17 years experience in the retirement industry. Frailey resides in Hastings.
