Great-West Appoints Sales Director for San Diego

    
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO, February 8, 2012 -- Great-West Retirement Services® has appointed Cheney Hunt as regional sales director for San Diego, CA, announced Bill Harmon, senior vice president of Great-West Retirement Services' corporate 401k market. In this new position, Hunt is responsible for developing 401k plan business through brokers, financial advisers, consultants, wire houses and third-party administrators. He is based in San Diego and reports to Ken Munro, Western regional vice president.

"Cheney is a seasoned sales professional who brings more than 20 years of experience in the retirement services industry to the Great-West team," said Harmon. "With his background and knowledge of the San Diego market, he has the ability to position us well with intermediaries and plan sponsors in this important market," said Harmon.

Before joining Great-West, Hunt spent nine years with John Hancock in a variety of sales and sales management positions, most recently serving as Midwest regional sales manager. Earlier, he held both national and regional sales positions with Scudder Investments and Kemper Financial Services. Hunt earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Millikin University. He holds NASD Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses and California state insurance licenses.
