Guardian Expands Retirement Sales Team
NEW YORK, NY, September 6, 2012 -- The Guardian Insurance & Annuity Company, Inc. (GIAC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (www.Guardianlife.com), today announced the appointment of Jasonn D. Potter to Regional Vice President for Retirement Plan Sales. Potter, a Wholesaler Retirement Specialist, will be responsible for developing Guardian Retirement Solutions'™ sales of funding vehicles to qualified plans in Utah, Colorado, Montana, Northern Nevada and Idaho.
Guardian Retirement Solutions™ continues to expand its 401k sales force to meet growing demand from the small plan market. Potter's addition brings the number of Guardian wholesalers to 17. Employer-sponsored retirement plans under $5 million represent the fastest growing segment of the market, accounting for approximately 90% of all 401k plans.

Potter joins Guardian from The Standard where he was a Regional Pension Consultant in Salt Lake City for over five years. He previously was a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors. Potter is a graduate of University of Oregon with a BS in Business Administration. He has earned his Series 7, 63, 65 and Life and Health Insurance Licenses.
Thus far in 2012, Guardian Retirement Solutions™ has expanded its 401k sales force 40 percent to advance its growth in the small plan market.
