CHARLOTTE, NC, September 4, 2012 – We are pleased to announce that Keith Wilson has joined Hubbell Consulting as a Principal of the Firm beginning October 1. Keith has over 30 years experience in the corporate HR, compensation and benefits consulting field. He spent the first half of his career as a practicing actuary at Towers Perrin and became a Principal. He later departed Towers to become the Manager, Compensation and Benefits for legacy Wachovia in Winston-Salem.
Prior to joining Hubbell Consulting, Keith was a Client Manager and Worldwide Partner with Mercer where he led the Carolinas consulting operations. While with Mercer, he served clients in a variety of industries including financial, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, non-profit, and higher education. He chaired Mercer's Retail Industry group and was also a member of their Higher Education industry group.
"Keith's significant experience on both the consulting side and plan sponsor side uniquely position him to help clients design their benefit plans to align with their business and HR strategies and assure they are cost sustainable," said Brian Hubbell.
Keith will lead the firm's initiatives for current and prospective clients undertaking strategic analysis on the design of their retirement plans – defined benefit and defined contribution – and will incorporate other benefits and compensation programs to be sure they integrate with our clients total HR design and cost objectives.
"I speak for all of us at Hubbell Consulting in saying we are extremely excited Keith is joining our firm. His expertise and reputation further our mission of serving clients with experienced professionals," said Hubbell.
Keith graduated from Georgia State University with a BBA, majoring in Actuarial Science. During his career as a practicing actuary with Towers Perrin, he achieved the status of Fellow of Society of Actuaries and Enrolled Actuary under ERISA. Upon assuming his position at Wachovia, and his client manager role at Mercer, he ceased being an actuary and no longer carries those designations.
