Securian Enhances 'Book of Business' Online Tool

ST. PAUL, MN, August 14, 2012 -- Retirement plan advisors should be able to look at their accounts in the aggregate to see what marketing opportunities exist with current clients.

Securian's online Book of Business program now gives them that ability by providing quick access to valuable client servicing information, reports and data on one web page.

"Our Book of Business is designed to help advisors easily assist their Securian clients, enhance relationships and increase cash flow," said Vince Giordano, national sales vice president, Retirement Plans.

Advisors can use the Book of Business to create:

  • Insight: Executive Summary provides relevant plan and investment data to help clients complete periodic plan reviews concisely and on time.
  • Reports: Information that helps advisors build customized service strategies and execute targeted participant campaigns.
  • Performance: Client specific performance, expenses, ratings and more are only a click away.

The tool includes guides that show how to use the reports along with links to participant materials that help advisors choose targeted messages for communicating with specific audiences.

The Book of Business is one of a suite of tools advisors can use to serve their Securian clients. Others include the Client Servicing Calendar that reminds clients about important plan deadlines. Fiduciary Focus explains in clear language the plan sponsors' fiduciary responsibilities, best practices and strategies for mitigating risk.

"All of these tools help our producers provide value to plan sponsors and maximize opportunities within the existing client base," said Giordano. "It's no secret that it's easier to generate more business with current clients than to add new ones."
