WASHINGTON D.C., April 2, 2002 -- Are you concerned about your 401k? Do you understand how it works and what you are supposed to do in relation to it? Do you know how to make informed decisions about your 401k? Amidst confusion and growing public concern about 401ks, the nonprofit Alliance for Investor Education (AIE) issued today at http://www.investoreducation.org the "401k Survival Kit," a collection of its members' best-available information on the topic.

Jones, who also serves as executive vice president and chief administrative officer for the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD, Inc). "The Alliance is making this special effort because of our strong belief that there are literally millions of consumers out there who can benefit by reviewing the contents of the '401k Survival Kit."'
