CNA Trust Announces PlanStat, an Online Plan Administration Suite
This high-speed, state-of-the-art set of applications is designed specifically for plan sponsors, their employee participants, brokers, and the other major 401k, 457 and 403(b) providers for whom CNA Trust furnishes recordkeeping services through strategic partnerships.
"PlanStat gives our plan sponsors and partners a fast and easy way to navigate online data resources, allowing them to monitor plan, fund, source and participant account data along with a wide variety of business reports," said Roni Renfro, CNA Trust chairman and president. "PlanStat also enables plan sponsors to enter their payroll information directly into our recordkeeping system."
Highlights of PlanStat include the following:
- A web-based XML application in which the design and content can be highly customized for partners, sponsors, and brokers;
- Improved interfaces designed for ease of use;
- Multiple login features which allow the administrator to assign user accounts based on need-to-know access requirements;
- Data sorting capabilities;
- New on-screen reports and data analyses;
- A highly flexible and powerful search engine;
- Access to prior-periods statements;
- A new customizable section linking users to various useful websites.
As an optional enhancement, customization is offered for each plan sponsor’s and participant’s home page. This can include banner ads and client-provided content. Customized pages for downloading forms are also available.
"While we were already providing our participants with great functionality, information and control over their accounts, with PlanStat we are enhancing the access to plan data and participant information for our sponsors, partners and brokers," said Cristina Surmenean, CNA Trust’s senior vice president and chief information officer. "Additionally, we are providing them with tools to better analyze the effectiveness and performance of their plans, as well as laying the foundation for the deployment of more analytical and data mining tools."
